Aston Martin strike new blow: Ferrari chief Cardile makes switch
- Corwin Kunst
Enrico Cardile, who quit Ferrari, will join Aston Martin, GPblog have learned.
At Aston Martin, Cardile will join forces with Dan Fallows, among others, who holds the position of technical director. The current world championship number five is very active in bringing in new acquisitions. Last week, former Mercedes chief Andy Cowell was signed as Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Cardile had been involved in Ferrari's F1 project since 2016, but so has now accepted an offer from Aston Martin. The Italian will thus leave his homeland behind and soon move to Silverstone, where Aston Martin's new factory is located.
The 49-year-old engineer will not be able to start working for Aston Martin immediately. A period of gardening leave is likely to follow first.
