Newey gets advice after Clarkson's comment: 'That's what I would do'

Adrian Newey is entering his last six months at Red Bull Racing. The designer who will go down in the books as one of the best of all time is leaving after almost 20 seasons at the Austrian racing stable. It is not yet known what Newey's future plans are, but former F1 driver Giedo van der Garde knows what he would do.
Newey has been widely associated with Williams recently. Top Gear legend Jeremy Clarkson told Viaplay over the weekend that Newey is looking for a house in Oxfordshire, where Williams' factory is nearby.
Van der Garde understands little of this. "Why would you do that? That team is constructive. If I were Adrian Newey, I would put on a Ferrari suit and show my latest trick there. You know you can win races and maybe championships there. At Williams it's taking far too long," Van der Garde revealed in DRS: The Race Show.
For now, Newey is still on the pit wall at Red Bull, where there is still a lot of work to do. Despite being 84 points clear of Max Verstappen in the championship, out of the last five races, he managed to win twice.
