Sargeant drives iconic Williams in showrun at Goodwood Festival of Speed
After a difficult first half of the Formula 1 season, Logan Sargeant's Williams team provided him with an opportunity on his week off, away from the F1 world, in the English countryside. The American, therefore, is of course spending his weekend driving a naturally aspirated Williams beast from the early 1980s at the famous Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Logan Sargeant appeared at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on Friday. The four-day festival in Chichester, England, is one of the most famous motoring events on the calendar. Later on this weekend, Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Christian Horner will all be driving up the Goodwood hill in Red Bull Formula 1 cars.
"The hill is a bit dirty but still, it was pretty fun. The sheer power of the car is pretty cool and nice to drive a piece of history and see how much has changed over the years."
The Williams FW08 propelled Keke Rosberg to his first and only world title in 1982 and picked up a victory at the Swiss Grand Prix in the same year. Sargeant's teammate, Alex Albon, drove the car at Goodwood on Thursday.
