Verstappen balks at awkward Red Bull situation: 'Been behind all along'

Max Verstappen will have to start the Hungarian Grand Prix from third place. The front row was just out of reach for the Dutchman, who sees both Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri start in front of him.
Verstappen questions Red Bull chances
Just 0.046 seconds short of Norris's pole time, Verstappen came up short. "I tried. The whole weekend we have been behind. I tried to make it as close as possible but just not enough. We just can't pin-point why that is," said the Dutchman after qualifying.
"P3 is still very close, just have to hope the car is good in the race. I love competition, but I would like to be on top of the competition but at the moment I feel we are chasing, and I don't back out of a fight but it's trickier I guess," Verstappen said.
