Richard Verschoor has been disqualified from the Formula 2 sprint race in Hungary upon reflection. On Saturday afternoon, the Dutchman showed he was the fastest on the entire grid by winning the sprint race at the Hungaroring. The celebration for the 23-year-old driver from Benschop lasted several hours as he was given bad news.

As a result, Verschoor was disqualified

Team Trident had in fact broken a technical rule. The board at the rear of his car was not thick enough. In fact, the thickness on Verschoor's car was 3.7 millimetres, but should have been at least 5 millimetres. A very painful violation, therefore, for the Dutchman, who sees the win slip out of his hands.

Kush Maini is the new winner of the sprint race at the Hungaroring. Just over four months ago, Verschoor also lost a victory in Formula 2. Then too because of a technical violation of his car.
