Lando Norris will start on pole position for today's Hungarian Grand Prix, as McLaren lock out the front row for the first time since 2012. The two will have to contend with world champion Max Verstappen who starts the race behind in third. After a disappointing qualifying session for Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton will begin in fifth, whilst his teammate George Russell starts P17 behind Sergio Perez. What happened in Qualifying?

Saturday's qualifying saw two red flags, the first being caused by Sergio Perez who crashed in Q1, and the second from Yuki Tsunoda in Q3. George Russell also struggled with performance, after not having enough fuel in the car to set a faster lap time, which left him eliminated from Q1 too. As the drivers battled with the mix of wet and cold, and dry and warm conditions, Hamilton also struggled to find grip in the car. Nevertheless, the McLaren drivers triumphed, securing their first one-two since 2012, as Norris starts on pole. After finishing second in Hungary last year, he will be looking to convert this to the second win in his career.

What format will the Hungarian Grand Prix follow?

This weekend is a normal race weekend, which saw two free practice sessions on Friday, followed by FP3 and qualifying on Saturday. The race will begin at 2pm BST.
