If there is one driver under a magnifying glass this weekend in Belgium, it is Sergio Perez. The Mexican must put in a decent performance, or there is a chance Red Bull Racing will sideline him. A lot of extra pressure, therefore, although the driver himself says there's nothing to worry about.

"Yes, correct," Perez told media, including GPblog. Just before that, the question had been whether the veteran was one hundred per cent convinced of being active for Red Bull Racing after the summer break. A combative Perez, who surely must have also heard the statements of team boss Christian Horner and especially advisor Helmut Marko. They have repeatedly made it clear that Perez needs to improve, and his position will be evaluated after Spa.

But so Perez did not want to worry about that. "Because I know what's in my contract and I know what the team trusts in me and I know what is the main focus which is on delivering on track," said Perez, who also knows that Marko has said that a decision on the Mexican's future will be made in the summer. "It's something to ask him. I don't know," he said.

Then Perez says: "I haven't spoken to him about that particular point. I feel like the whole team is fully focused on getting back on track and the rest is pure speculation. The team is working hard with me to get the season back on track and winning the Constructors' Championship. It's all what we are working on. There hasn't been any further discussions than getting our season back on track."

All in all, Perez reiterated: "I'm not worried about it. I know where I stand. That's not my concern. My only concern I have is to get my season back on track. The rest I'm pretty chilled about."
