It was a big crash for Yuki Tsunoda at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Japanese driver had to deal with 68G during the crash, which almost completely destroyed his Visa Cash App RB car. A week later, Tsunoda is fit again, although he had to admit to some physical discomfort in the days after the crash.

In the Belgian paddock, Tsunoda had great news: "I'm good. Obviously, after the race I was a bit on the edge, but I focused and recovered myself, so now I'm ready to go," the Japanese told media, including GPblog. The journalists had heard prior to the interview which part of his body Tsunoda had suffered most from.

The rumours turned out to be true: "My butt. Yeah, especially the left side. So, yeah, that was interesting. I had a long trip to Milan the day after. I definitely feel a bit of tiredness compared to usual," said Tsunoda, who expects no further problems for the weekend at Spa-Francorchamps. "I feel good, I'm ok."

Tsunoda back to Japan

Just as well, because a very long journey awaits Tsunoda after Spa. Indeed, he is flying back to Japan for a holiday. "I haven't been back to Japan last six years, in the summertime, so I'm looking forward to spending time with my friends, having a nice barbecue, whatever. It's very hot, apparently, so I have to prepare for that. But, yeah, it'll be a nice, relaxing time."
