Voisin starts F3 feature race on pole after remarkable scenes in qualifying

Callum Voisin managed to get pole position for the feature race. Alexander Dunne is second and Leonardo Fornaroli set the third fastest time. This came after remarkable scenes in the closing stages of qualifying, which resembled a safety car restart after the entire grid left it very late to set the final lap.

The race weekend in Belgium is the ninth round for the Formula 3 championship. With Gabriele Mini as the leader in the championship, Luke Browning in second place and Red Bull's Arvid Lindblad in third in the standings, there is a lot at stake. After a wet free practice, the F3 qualifying was dry. Several drivers ended up next to the track and track limits also played a major role.

The track became faster and faster towards the end of the session. The fastest time constantly changed between different drivers. In the end, it was Voisin who set the fastest time. This gives him the first starting position for the feature race on Sunday. Dunne will start second on Sunday and Fornaroli third.
