Verstappen must report to stewards after qualifying
27 July at 16:56

Max Verstappen has to report to the stewards after qualifying for the Belgian Grand Prix. The Dutchman is called to the stewards for an incident in Q1 with Guanyu Zhou.

On a fast lap by Max Verstappen during Q1 of qualifying at Spa, the Dutchman was held up by Zhou Guanyu. The Chinese driver drove into the middle of the track in the final fast section, holding up Verstappen. The two have to report to the stewards at 18:00 local time [17:00 UK].

''Hello! What the f***?!'' said Verstappen on the radio after the moment. The footage spoke for itself. The stewards have yet to give their verdict, but it will make little difference to Verstappen. The Red Bull driver went through to Q2. That was not the case for Zhou, who finished last in Q1.
