Audi seems to have found a clothing sponsor for 2026. According to SportBusiness, it seems that the future Formula 1 team is teaming up with Adidas.
For some time now, Audi has been preparing for its 2026 entry. In recent weeks, developments have accelerated. For instance, it was announced that Andreas Seidl and Oliver Hoffmann had to step down from the project. Mattia Binotto will take over their duties. In addition, it was also announced that Jonathan Wheatley will become the team boss.
'Deal between Audi and Adidas close'
So on top of that, Adidas would become the clothing sponsor for Audi from 2026, when entry will take place. Currently, the team is still called Stake F1 Team, but from the introduction of the new regulations, the team's name will change to Audi. Talks are reportedly at an advanced stage.
Should the deal go ahead, Audi would not be the only team with Adidas as clothing sponsor. A deal with Mercedes has also been mentioned, but nothing has officially been announced yet. There could be two German teams working with the German sports brand from 2026.
