Red Bull rejects employee's appeal with complaint against Christian Horner

Red Bull has rejected the appeal of the employee who accused Christian Horner of inappropriate behaviour. The company found the complaint unfounded even after the employee's appeal.
Appeal after complaint against Christian Horner dismissed
Controversy erupted in February when it was revealed that Christian Horner, team boss of the Austrian Formula One team, was under investigation. A female employee accused Horner of inappropriate behaviour. Parent company Red Bull GmbH called in an independent barrister, who acquitted the team boss.
However, the employee did not accept this outcome and appealed the decision. An independent barrister was again called in, who concluded that the appeal was unfounded. Red Bull accepted that conclusion, the company said in a press statement.
"Earlier this year a complaint raised against Christian Horner was investigated. That complaint was dealt with through the company's grievance procedure by the appointment of an independent KC who dismissed the grievance," Red Bull's statement reads.
"The complainant exercised the right to appeal, and the appeal was carried out by another independent KC. All stages of the appeal process have now been concluded, with the final outcome that the appeal is not upheld. The KC's conclusions have been accepted and adopted by Red Bull. The internal process has concluded."
"The company respects the privacy of all its employees and will not be making further public comment on this matter at this time. Red Bull is committed to continuing to meet the highest workplace standards," Red Bull said.
