Lewis Hamilton and Brad Pitt are working together on an F1 movie set for release in June 2025. The actor has limited driving experience but has been spotted on track at several Grands Prix recording shots for the movie. Mercedes even made an adopted car for Pitt. But the question on many minds is: is the 60-year-old good at racing?

Hamilton has revealed he took part in some coaching sessions with Pitt to get him up to speed on the race track. The seven-time World Champion is used to getting on the track with inexperienced drivers.

Has Brad Pitt got any racing experience?

"We [Hamilton and Pitt] went to a track in L.A. I took him out and sat in the passenger seat, and he drove. I used to be a driving coach when I was younger. It was a way of making some money part-time whilst I was racing. So I’ve sat with God knows how many non-racing drivers. You can tell immediately the good ones, the bad ones," Hamilton told Esquire.

Fortunately, it was good news for the filmmakers: "Straight away, he was on it. You could tell he has it—it's in his DNA. He’s just not been able to hone in on it like we have, but he’s got big potential," Hamilton confirmed.

Pitt was out on track during the Grand Prix weekend at Silverstone. He didn't interfere with the race weekend itself but did get to complete a few laps and shoot some important footage for the film.
