Simracing Verstappen causes disbelief: 'Destroys the entire field'

When Max Verstappen is not busy with Formula 1, he spends a lot of time in the simulator. On behalf of Team Redline, he takes part in many sim races. Team manager Atze Kerkhof is full of praise for the Red Bull Racing driver's dedication.
Manager Team Redline waxes lyrical about Verstappen
"He’s breathing racing in a way," Kerkhof begins in the documentary Max Verstappen - Off the Beaten Track. "He can jump in any car and he’s fast. What you can’t expect from an F1 driver is that he’s so fully dedicated to sim racing, but he wants it so much."
"He had races where he did 50 hours of practice and then he did the race and he completely destroyed the field - and those were the best drivers in the world. So we know when he has the time to prepare, he’s actually in the top 3 of the world. That's quite nice to work with," said the Team Redline team manager.
Verstappen takes his hobby very seriously and competes regularly, including long-distance races such as the virtual 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the Nurburgring, even during the racing season. McLaren driver Lando Norris was also part of Team Redline in the past, which made for some hilarious interactions between Norris and Verstappen.
