Aston Martin 'honoured' to be in the conversation for Adrian Newey

Adrian Newey's new destination in Formula 1 is still unknown. The top designer is leaving Red Bull Racing and is being linked to numerous teams. Aston Martin's name falls most often, but team boss Mike Krack can neither confirm nor deny it all.

"I was on holiday over the summer break, so I cannot really comment on that," Krack responded in the press conference when asked about Newey's arrival. "But you keep asking me that question. And again, I can only repeat what we have said. We are becoming a more and more attractive team. We have a great infrastructure developing. So again, we are honoured to be put together with that name."
However, all positions within Aston Martin are filled. So the question is a bit of how Newey will fit into the British racing stable's management structure. It is not that there is no room for the engineer at the moment.
"Yes. I think, Formula 1 these days is so broad. It is not like you have to make huge changes. I think there was a time where there was a team that had seven technical directors in the past. So I think we are very far from that. I think, someone like that, you have to make any kind of effort to integrate and adjust your structure to get the best out of it," said the Luxembourger.
