The past four race weekends did not go as hoped for Max Verstappen. The Red Bull Racing driver could occasionally be heard frustrated over the team radio talking to race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase. During the summer break, however, the Dutchman found a new way to find peace and calm.

Especially during the Hungarian Grand Prix, frustrations ran high for Verstappen. Countless furious radio messages rang out from the triple world champion's cockpit, with tension rising even higher due to the reactions from 'GP'. Verstappen has been able to use the summer break to unwind and has even found a new way to relax.

"I’ve done a lot of yoga and meditation lately," he said after qualifying at Circuit Zandvoort. "I think Hungary was just a very frustrating weekend in general, but it doesn't always need to be like that. And I know that also. So I'm just trying as hard as I can to be competitive. I know the team does that as well, every single person within the team. So we, yeah, we stick together and try to improve the situation."

For Verstappen, the Dutch GP weekend did not start in ideal fashion. In the free practice sessions, which were held in changeable conditions, the Red Bull driver struggled with the balance of his car. Yet in qualifying, he managed to earn a place on the front row of the grid. He sees Lando Norris start just ahead of him and has the McLaren driver's teammate, Oscar Piastri, behind him.
