Lando Norris' victory at Zandvoort has narrowed the gap with championship leader Max Verstappen. The McLaren driver started in pole position, but lost this spot to Verstappen before the first corner. Verstappen was later overtaken again by Norris making him second. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner sees the gap with Norris in the world championship shrinking.

Can Norris close the gap in the final nine races of the season? Horner gives his findings on the matter. "Based on today's performance, if it was like that at the next nine races, yes, it would be very, very difficult," Horner admitted at Zandvoort.

"But it's only the fourth time that Max's points lead is reduced. It's only Lando's second win, but we know we have to find performance. We were 78 points. Now we're 70 ahead. We want to make sure that we extend the lead, not see it continually diminish," the Red Bull team boss concluded.

So the gap between Verstappen and Norris is seventy points now, but Red Bull's lead in the constructors' championship is only thirty points. Ferrari follows in third place with 34 points behind McLaren.
