Max Verstappen has always won at least one race in a span of three Grand Prix since late 2021. This season, the typically dominant Dutchman has been without a win for five race weekends in a row. The Red Bull Racing driver knows what needs to be improved, but reacts bluntly when confronted with this statistic.

Verstappen's last race victory was over two months ago. We have to go back to the Spanish Grand Prix for the 61-time race winner's last triumph. (23 June). The races after that were won by George Russell, Lewis Hamilton twice, Oscar Piastri, and now Lando Norris in Zandvoort. How does Verstappen feel about that?

"Yeah, I mean, that happens, right? I mean, I've had a lot of good years. Some people have never won a race in their career, so you can also look at it like that. From my side, we at the moment don't have the fastest car. We have some issues that we have to solve, and we are working on that. That's the only thing I can say about that." Verstappen began.

RB20's lack of balance 'hurting' Verstappen

The three-time world champion reiterated once again that the lack of balance in his RB20 had crept in during certain updates. It was not a result of the fact that, unlike in the first GPs of the season, he is now put under pressure by McLaren. "It wasn't there in the first few races but something in the car has made it more difficult to drive and it's very hard to pinpoint where that is coming from at the moment. That is then hurting of course our one-lap performance but also our long run," the three-time world champion said. Norris's convincing victory in Zandvoort will worry Red Bull without a doubt. The Milton Keynes-based team will hope to find a short-term fix before the Italian Grand Prix next weekend.
