Stewards busy in Monza: Multiple drivers given order to appear
Following their incident during the final third of Free Practice 3 at the Italian Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri are now summoned to the stewards. The pair have to be present at 14:15 local time in Monza.
What happened?
Exiting Lesmo 2 in FP3, Charles Leclerc tried to overtake Oscar Piastri on the backstraight. However, Piastri was unaware of this maneouvre, and pulled his car towards Leclerc's Ferrari. Leclerc had to go on the grass to avoid a collision. Behind them, Daniel Ricciardo could see pair's moment, and commented "Gosh..." over his team radio.
Why are they called to the stewards?
According to stewards, both drivers have to report at 14:15 local time for impeding Daniel Ricciardo, who was behind both drivers and therefore was "allegedly" impeded. You can see the stewards' report below. Therefore, Ricciardo will also have to be present.
Perez and Stroll also go for a different reason
Perez and Stroll will have to go to the stewards. The Canadian has to be present at 14:45, while the Mexican has to go at 14:55. Both drivers failed to follow the escape road instructions given by the FIA.
Colapinto makes first appearance in front of stewards
For a third separate reason, Franco Colapinto appears will have visit the stewards office too. The Argentinian will have to be present at 15:05 local time for a practice start infringement.
