Strategy is always vital in any Formula 1 race, and it will be no different at the Italian Grand Prix. With high temperatures expected to hit Monza for the race, the track is expected to become extremely hot, meaning tyre degradation and preservation will be two vital aspects of the Grand Prix. But what will be the best strategy? Here is what Pirelli say.

Pirelli name the best strategies for the Italian Grand Prix

Around the 'Temple of Speed', Pirelli believe that a one-stop strategy is possible for teams and drivers in the Grand Prix, even with the red-hot temperatures expected to hit the track throughout the day. There are two different ways for that to happen, either starting on the medium tyres and moving to the hards, or starting on the hard tyres and moving to the mediums.

If the one-stop strategy is not possible, a two-stop strategy is also said to be fast by Pirelli as teams might look for a tyre offset in the middle of the race. In terms of tyre allocations left for drivers, the top eight drivers all have the exact same set of tyres left: two sets of new hard tyres, one set of new medium tyres, and no set of new soft tyres.
