Does Wolff think the Antonelli news affected Hamilton?
After Monza, where Hamilton finished in fifth, Team Principal Toto Wolff was asked whether he has noticed a change in Hamilton’s attitude. Wolff told GPBlog and other media, “No, it's great. It's super productive the way we work with each other, the spirits are high, we enjoy Formula 1 together.”
As his final year at Mercedes comes to an end, Wolff also notes that Hamilton's departure has not affected harmony between the team and the driver. Wolff stated, "the relationships between Lewis and the team members have not been impacted. I think there’s a really good mood in all of us are working together."
How does Hamilton feel about Antonelli replacement?
Hamilton qualified in sixth place on Saturday at Monza but was furious with his own performance. He even suggested that Mercedes deserved better and felt like they would get that next season with Antonelli at the helm. But Hamilton went on to confess the emotion has been bubbling away all year, not just because of Antonelli's announcement.
Despite mixed emotions on both ends, both Hamilton and Wolff have been able to enjoy the driver's final year at Mercedes with Hamilton achieving two wins at Silverstone and Spa-Francorchamps.
