Verstappen positive after FP2: 'If we do that, we can be competitive'

Max Verstappen had to settle for sixth place in the second free practice session for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, but overall he is satisfied with the first day in Baku. The Red Bull Racing driver, therefore, thinks he can be competitive if his team fixes one thing.
Verstappen positive after FP2 Baku
"I think overall a good day. We learned quite a bit. Now it's just about tying up the things that we tried. But I think so far we've been more competitive this weekend, so that's a positive," the Dutchman said on F1TV.
Verstappen suffered some understeer in the second free practice, but he is not too worried. "Yeah, but it's also the track. It's very slippery. A lot of 90 degree corners so if you have like a tiny lock sometimes you just hold the brake to not hit the wall or whatever. Just out of precaution," the three-time world champion continued.
In the first free practice session, Verstappen still recorded the fastest time. In the second practice session, he finished in sixth place and was down by half a second to his teammate Sergio Perez. "For sure FP2 is a bit more difficult for me, so like I said we just need to get the balance together a bit more. And then I'm quite confident that we can be competitive," Verstappen concluded.
