Marko does not give in to demand: 'Some would like that'

While Red Bull Racing has been struggling to determine the RB20's problems, after Baku, the team was confident that the biggest issue was fixed. Red Bull Racing's top advisor, Helmut Marko, believes that with the aforementioned fix, they will be able to compete in Singapore.

"In Singapore, small adjustments are possible in Singapore. Our engineers have determined that we need to get the car and tyre setup in the small window to perform well. If we can do that, we will be back in. As I said, we still have to get through Singapore, but for Austin [the next GP] I am already very optimistic," he told OE24.

Marko doesn't give up on constructors' title yet

Even though Max Verstappen hasn't won since the Spanish Grand Prix and Lando Norris has been getting closer to the Dutchman in the drivers' standings, the defending champion still has a 59-point gap to the Briton in the championship. However, after the weekend in Baku, Red Bull did lose the lead in the constructors' to McLaren.

"I wouldn't say it's already over, but it will be very difficult against McLaren. They have two strong drivers and a car that works at every track," the Austrian rated their chances of overcoming a 20-point deficit

He continued by rating Verstappen's chances for earning his fourth title: "Without the safety car at the end, Max would have set the fastest lap in Baku and only lost one point. As it is now, the last few races were just about limiting the damage. We don't need to panic, as some would like."
