A lot of attention has been put on Lando Norris and McLaren in their pursuit of Max Verstappen in the World Championship. But Charles Leclerc is working his way into the picture following a P1 and P2 in the most recent Grands Prix. Verstappen is 78 points ahead of Leclerc, and with seven Grand Prix weekends remaining, it's a tough ask. Though Carlos Sainz has been asked if he will help his teammate.

Will Sainz help Leclerc in an F1 title fight?

There have been discussions about whether Oscar Piastri would help out Norris, but the Australian forced his way through with an impressive overtake in Monza. Norris left the door open for Charles Leclerc, who went on to win. McLaren CEO Zak Brown isn't ruling Piastri out of the title fight.

Sainz - who has to leave Ferrari for the arrival of Lewis Hamilton - indicated that no papaya-like rules have been discussed at the Scuderia. "No, nothing has been discussed because of the probability I think. If you look at the numbers and everything, everything is quite far and we need to wait and see. If the team one day asks me to do so, I have always been a team player." Sainz revealed.

During Friday's practice, Ferrari looked strong and seemed set to cause Norris some more headaches in Singapore. However, during the third and final free practice session, Leclerc was unhappy with his Ferrari team.
