FIA gives Carlos Sainz hefty fine in Singapore F1 after crash

A day which is already one to forget for Carlos Sainz has just got worse. The Ferrari driver crossed the track on foot after his incident in Q3 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. Because of this, the Spaniard, who will start provisionally from 10th psoition, has been given a large fine from the FIA.

FIA slam Sainz with hefty fine:

Sainz crashed with eight minutes to go in Q3 at the final corner. The Ferrari driver was just beginning his fastest lap before he crashed. After an investigation, the stewards ruled that the Ferrari driver crossed the track without permission. Therefore, the FIA decided to fine the Spaniard €25,000, of which €12,500 was conditional.
