Lando Norris did himself a favour by winning the Singapore Grand Prix. The Briton is closing in on Max Verstappen in the championship as a result, with only 52 points now between the pair. The McLaren driver has six races and three sprint races to make up points if he wishes to win.

Norris' teammate, Oscar Piastri, also did well in the championship. The Australian took third place. This means the gap with Charles Leclerc is only eight points. The Monegasque himself finished fourth.

Verstappen's former teammate Daniel Ricciardo did (potentially) one last favour for the Red Bull by stopping Norris getting the bonus point for the fastest lap. This means the gap is now at 52 points.

Six Grands Prix remain in the 2024 Formula 1 season, with three sprint races added in. There is now a three week break in Formula 1, which will be followed by the United States Grand Prix in Austin.
