Verstappen's F1 mechanic, Calum Nicholas, announces his book
"I’m excited to announce that my memoir #LifeInThePitlane will publish in Feb 2025. I’ve covered the highs, the lows and what life is really like for those of us behind the scenes in Formula 1," said Nicholas, who has worked as a Senior Engine Technician at Red Bull for almost a decade. An audiobook narrated by Nicholas himself will also be released.
Nicholas is a familiar face in Verstappen's garage. The mechanic has often made his views clear on social media. For instance, he strongly criticised F1 analyst Peter Windsor, who held a theory about Red Bull that had already been proven wrong. He also responded to a post by McLaren after the crash between Verstappen and Lando Norris in the Austrian Grand Prix. Nicholas has over 330,000 followers on Instagram.
