F1 Power Rankings: Norris pulls open a gap to Verstappen
Lando Norris stormed to victory in the Singapore Grand Prix and survived two mistakes that could've resulted in a DNF or at least an extra pitstop to replace the front wing. Still, Norris has been given a score of 9.4. Max Verstappen got the most out of the Red Bull car to finish second in the race. He scored a 9 for his performance at the Marina Bay Street Circuit.
There's a surprising name in third. Nico Hulkenberg was voted as the third best driver in Singapore. In qualifying, the German managed to secure a place inside the top six. During the race, the Haas driver dropped to ninth place, but Hulkenberg still received an 8.6 in the ratings.
F1 rookie Franco Colapinto is the replacement for Logan Sargeant. The Argentinian was able to stay ahead of Red Bull driver Sergio Perez for quite a while during the Singapore race. Colapinto finished in P11, but the Williams driver still managed to score a 7.4. This rating ensures he keeps his place inside the top five, though he has competed in significantly fewer races compared to those around him.
The Power Rankings standings
The high score for Norris sees the McLaren driver boost his average to 8.4. Verstappen also sees his average go up: he now stands at 8.2. Check out the current rankings below.
