Verstappen jokes on his online stream: 'You'll get community service!'
- Ludo van Denderen
It has now been a week, but the community service penalty imposed by the FIA on Max Verstappen for using a swear word continues to occupy minds. Many pundits and analyst have had their say on the matter. Most are supporting Verstappen. Even his greatest rival, Lewis Hamilton, offered his support. The Dutchman is not letting the incident go either.
While Formula 1 has a one-month break for the second time this season, Verstappen is not sitting still. The Red Bull Racing driver now has ample time to race online again with his Team Redline. The Dutchman was also in action this week, which could be followed via a stream from the team.
Verstappen is witty in response to an FIA question
During one of these sessions, the topic came - naturally - to the penalty imposed on Verstappen by the FIA stewards. Someone jokingly asked if swearing was allowed during the online session. Verstappen immediately responded with a sharp answer: "No! You'll get community service."
