David Coulthard was impressed by Lando Norris' performance at the Singapore Grand Prix. The McLaren driver stormed to victory, winning by nearly 21 seconds at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. He compared the performance to the likes of Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton.

In Singapore, Norris wasn't challenged. In fact, the biggest doubt was caused by himself when he hit the barrier twice. The gap was more than 20 seconds at the finish, and at one point during the race it was nearly half a minute.

Coulthard compares Norris to F1 greats

"What a performance. Human and machine in perfect harmony. Lando is so humble and so approachable, he doesn’t realise how great and significant his performances are right now," Coulthard said on Channel 4.

"I want to put him in the sort of Senna, Schumacher, Hamilton at his best, type performances. We can all win a Grand Prix by getting a bit lucky, but this was exceptional," Coulthard said referring to his first win in Miami when he was helped out by a safety car.

Norris might've dominated the race, but he only managed to move seven points closer to Verstappen in the World Championship. The British driver has just six race weekends remaining to bridge a 52 point gap.
