max verstappen is not worried Red Bull's technical team

Max Verstappen states he has no concerns about the future when it comes Red Bull technical team. Despite some big changes, including the departure of top designer Adrian Newey, the Dutchman has faith in his team to turn it around.

Coincidence or not, since the designer announced he was leaving Red Bull, the team haven't been dominant in Formula 1. Red Bull won all but one race in 2023, and Verstappen won seven races earlier in the 2024 season. He's without a win since the Spanish Grand Prix in June. With the technical team now led by Pierre Waché, the Austrians hope to find improvements after struggling with the balance of the car in recent weeks.

Verstappen continues to believe the people currently at Red Bull will be able to turn it around because they have demonstrated their knowledge in the past. "At some point you focus yourself on aspects you think are right, only now it comes out that maybe not everything turns out the way you want after all. Then you have to hit the reset button and go in a different direction," Verstappen told Motorsport.com.

Is Verstappen worried?

Verstappen states he has no worries for the future with Red Bull's technical team "No, not normally," the Dutchman says, pointing out that the people who are there now are good. Verstappen knows key people have left the team but doesn't pinpoint the blame on that. "But I don't think it's necessarily down to that. We just took a wrong turn. Then it's important to turn it around and go in a different direction."

Verstappen was keen to highlight it's always been a team effort at Red Bull. "If you mention a few people, you again sell other people short. Everyone has to do their job and be good in their role, that is the most important thing," Verstappen said.
