Ayrton Senna's iconic McLaren MP4/5B will drive a lap around Senna's home track of Interlagos at the Brazilian Grand Prix as part of celebrations to mark 30 years of the three-time world champion's Formula 1 legacy.

Honda and McLaren will be bringing Ayrton Senna's original car as part of the SENNA SEMPRE (SENNA FOREVER) initiative to Interlagos at this year's Brazilian GP. The car present will the one from 1990, the year the legendary driver won his second title with the Woking-based team. The driver of the car has yet to be revealed, and after the lap around the circuit, the MP4/5B will be displayed near the pit garages. Attendees of the weekend are also invited to dress in yellow and green colours to join the celebrations.

Senna tragically lost his life in 1994 at Imola. Across his 10 years in the sport, Senna claimed three drivers titles, 65 pole positions, scored more than 600 points and collected 80 podiums and 41 wins. The MP4/5B formed part of a hugely successful partnership between Honda and McLaren which led to them winning 44 of the 80 races they competed in, with Senna winning the 1988, 1990 and 1991 world titles with the team.

Earlier in the year, McLaren ran a Senna-inspired livery on their car during the Monaco Grand Prix weekend, a circuit Senna won six times.
