What is the weather forecast for the Austin 2024 United States Grand Prix

The Formula 1 teams and drivers won't have to worry about rain during the 2024 United States Grand Prix weekend in Austin, Texas. The forecast suggests drivers will be able to compete in favourable conditions as the season resumes.

Formula 1 drivers and teams have enjoyed an off period lasting nearly one month. Some drivers completed some mileage for Pirelli, but most haven't been inside an F1 car for a (relatively) long period of time. But they should be able to jump back in and enjoy some nice driving conditions for the first event in the triple header.

What is the weather forecast for the United States Grand Prix?

Weather.com says Friday will be mostly sunny and warm, at 29c. There is a 3% chance of rain throughout the day, though it might be slightly windy. The wind speed is expected to be 10-15mph. These conditions should be helpful to the teams because, as it is a sprint weekend, drivers only get 60 minutes of free practice before going into the meaningful sessions on Friday afternoon.

Saturday is predicted to be partly cloudy, but there is still only a 6% chance of rain. Sunday is forecast to be one degree warmer with just a 4% chance of rain. Paddock attendees will want to enjoy these USA conditions because the Las Vegas Grand Prix, at the end of November, is predicted to be much cooler.
