Here are the strategies expected by Pirelli for the United States GP
During the Sprint, teams would not have to worry about strategy, as everyone started on used medium tyres. On Sunday, with an obligatory pit stop, that will of course be different. Tyre manufacturer Pirelli have shared their possible race strategies ahead of Sunday's race.
The Italians believe each driver would have to make at least two stops this afternoon in Austin, with teams using two mediums and two hard tyres. Last year, the mediums proved to work well at the US track, but some sections have been resurfaced. Moreover, Pirelli also suggested that using all three tyre compounds is also a possibility.
Which tyres do Verstappen and Norris have left?
For Max Verstappen, all three of the aforementioned options are available. The Dutchman has a set of new and used hard tyres, has two new and one used mediums, and also three already used sof tyres.
His title rival, Lando Norris, will have similar options available to him this afternoon. There is a single difference, and that is that the Briton does not have a used set of hard tyres available to him. See the options for the rest of the drivers below!
