Max Verstappen hopes for strong Grand Prix in Austin

Verstappen hopes for a repeat of sprint race: 'I feel good!'

Another battle awaits between Lando Norris and Max Verstappen at the US Grand Prix. The Briton lines up on pole position, but the Dutchman will begin the race from right next to him on the front row of the grid. Verstappen hopes to take the win, while Norris was a bit more relaxed ahead of the drivers' parade.

Entering today's race, Verstappen could claim pole position for the Sprint and then managed to cash in on all eight points with a victory, while Norris finished in P3 after he was overtaken by Carlos Sainz on the final lap.

Verstappen hopes for another victory, Norris jokes

Verstappen had a good delta time on his second lap in Q3 on Saturday, however, George Russell crashing out prevented him from finishing his second lap. Therefore, Norris could stay in P1.

"I feel good. I mean, so far the whole weekend we have been pretty strong. Yesterday, the sprint race was good. So I hope we can do something similar today," the Dutchman said.

Norris was in a relaxed mood when he was asked about what his team changed ahead of the Grand Prix. "Everything," the Brit laughed. "[They] just make the car quicker, I think it's what we did, so yesterday was a good day, today is going to be a tougher one so we'll see what we can do," the McLaren driver concluded.
