After the verdict of the orginisers of the US Grand Prix have been announced by the stewards, they received a considerable fine by the FIA. A group of fans began entering the track in an unsafe condition, before it should have been allowed.

During the time as some drivers concluding their cooldown laps at the Circuit of the Americas, 200 fans began to enter the track. From the grandstand alongside the pit lane, they climbed over a fence, jumped down two metres, and climbed under a second fans towards the track, the FIA's document explains.

Serious fine imposed by the FIA

The FIA has shared that it is a very serious offense, and therefore given a considerably fine. Even as this has never happened at COTA before, the federations take the matter seriously, and gave a $500,000 fine to the promoter, $350,000 of that is suspended until 31 Decermber 2026 given that this does not happen again in any FIA-regulated event. They would also have to submit a remediation plan.

The Circuit of the Amercias is not the first circuit to be punished for this reason this year. Several organisers were previously investigated this year for the reason now the Americas received a fine. The non-suspended amount of the fine should also be dedicated to the FIA Safety Department.
