F1 Today | Fall out continues from the US GP weekend with more moaning
There is really one main talking point from the United States Grand Prix weekend. The penalty for Lando Norris on his 'overtake' on Max Verstappen. The fall out has continued as F1 moves towards the Mexican Grand Prix.

McLaren endorsed Anthony Davidson in a remarkable social media post earlier in the 2024 Formula 1 season, but the same 'F1 expert pundit' has now proven the team wrong for their actions during the United States Grand Prix. On Sky Sports, Davidson clearly explained why the stewards gave Lando Norris a five-second time penalty for overtaking Max Verstappen off the track.
Verstappen is a nightmare on track for friend Norris and foe Hamilton
For those who still had doubts whether Max Verstappen would be as tough in a battle with his close friend, the answer came in Austin. Whether your name is Lewis Hamilton or Lando Norris, Max Verstappen will do everything he can to beat you. It doesn't matter how.
When the battle between Norris and Verstappen started to take serious shape, many suggested it would be different this time. They said Verstappen would race differently against Norris than Hamilton. Norris is a friend and generational colleague of Verstappen, and with three world titles under his belt, his aggressiveness and sheer will to win might be less. In Austria, it became clear that this was not the case for Verstappen. Friend or not, you don't easily pass Verstappen on the track. Frustrated Zak Brown takes to social media and continues to defend Norris
Zak Brown has made his thoughts clear about the FIA stewarding during the United States Grand Prix in a viral social media post on X. In a post which was made a few hours after the conclusion of the Grand Prix, Brown continued to defend Lando Norris and said the stewards decisions in Austin were inconsistent. See the post here.
