Red Bull provide update on Verstappen's engine problems in FP1

Max Verstappen suffered engine problems during the first free practice session. The Dutchman had to pit and was out of action in the last few minutes of the session. Red Bull has since given an update on the state of Verstappen's engine.

During the first practice session, there was considerable work on Verstappen's car. He suffered damage to his floor. After working on the car, he was able to continue his session as normal.

Just at the end of the session, the Dutchman had another problem. Verstappen reported over the radio that his engine was acting strange and that he had no power. When he then came inside, it meant the end of his first free practice session in Mexico.

Red Bull gives update on Verstappen's engine problems

 Red Bull Racing has given GPblog an update on the engine problems. The team confirms that the engine will not be changed for the second free practice session. The team also reveals that the work on the car during the session was indeed because the Dutchman had suffered damage. This was due to a tool which fell from the bridge.
