Mexican GP race strategy | Why Verstappen has an advantage over Norris
The best strategies for the Mexican Grand Prix have been announced by Pirelli, along with a list of what new and used tyres the drivers have at their disposal for this Sunday's Grand Prix.
The temperature at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriquez is much lower than many expected, as has been the case all weekend. As a result, Pirelli expects the one-stop to be the strategy of choice for teams and drivers. A two-stopper is also an option by starting on the softs and then using two sets of medium tyres, but it may not be the fastest strategy for today, the Italian tyre company believe.

In regards to the tyres available for the drivers, it is Max Verstappen who has a little advantage. The Dutchman, along with teammate Sergio Perez, are the only drivers to have two sets of new medium tyres at their disposal compared to the rest of the grid. Will Verstappen and Red Bull make the most of that today?
Carlos Sainz, who will start from pole position, has exactly the same combination of tyres available as teammate Charles Leclerc, Verstappen's title rival Lando Norris, and the two Mercedes' of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton.
