Just four more races remaining in the 2024 Formula 1 season, and we still have two titles that are still well and truly in the balance. With the Brazilian Grand Prix this weekend being the penultimate sprint race in 2024 as well, every available point will be of huge importance to these teams and drivers. But as well as the title connotations that this weekend's results will have, there will be records and milestones that will be hit this weekend at Interlagos.

Milestones and records at the Brazilian Grand Prix

One driver who will be adding to his records from last season is Max Verstappen. This weekend's race in Sao Paulo will be his 205th consecutive Grand Prix start in F1, equalling Nico Rosberg for third on the list of drivers who have made the most consecutive starts.

The Dutchman would also break Jim Clark's record for most races led from start to finish if he does so at Interlagos this weekend. He will be fourth on the list of drivers to do so if he leas from lap 1 and takes victory, making it the 14th time he would have done that in his F1 career..

After making his 400th Grand Prix weekend appearance last weekend at the Mexican Grand Prix, Fernando Alonso will be making his 399th Grand Prix start this weekend, with his 400th start coming at the Qatar Grand Prix.

Victory for Ferrari at Sao Paulo would be their third consecutive win, the first time the Scuderia would have achieved that since the 2019 season after they won the Belgian, Italian and Singapore Grands Prix. A win for a Ferrar-powered car would also make it 250 Grands Prix won by Ferrari power.

For the Brits, there is a record out there for them. If any British driver leads the race from start to finish, it will be the 100th Grand Prix in F1 history that would have been led start to finish by a British driver.

And finally, at the back of the grid, a Q1 exit for Lance Stroll would see him overtake Marcus Ericsson as the driver who has recorded the second most Q1 eliminations in F1. An exit in the first part of qualifying in Brazil would be the 71st of the Canadian's career.
