Fernando Alonso was the fourth driver to crash at the rainy Interlagos circuit on Sunday qualifying. The Spaniard crashed heavily in the third sector of the track. His teammate, Lance Stroll, crashed in Q2, which sent Max Verstappen out of the session. The Dutchman will start from P17 for today's Grand Prix.

Alonso's spin was caused by the rainy conditions, as he put the power down too early. There are just a few minutes left in the final qualifying session. Only eight cars will come out on track, as both Aston Martin's crashed in separate incidents throughout the session. The team will need to work hard to put both cars back together before the race later on today.
