Heartbreak for Hulkenberg - Disqualified from the Brazilian Grand Prix
Nico Hulkenberg has been disqualified from the Brazilian Grand Prix bizarrely. Before the red flag, the German had caused a VSC as he was beached in the tarmac run-off of turn one. The Haas driver received outside assistance from the marshals in order to get back on track. This isn't allowed, and upon his return to the pits, Hulkenberg's Haas team had to tell him the bad news.
Haas will be disappointed with their Brazilian Grand Prix weekend. The surreal three-day event hasn't been positive for Haas. In the race, Oliver Bearman was slapped with a 10-second time penalty for causing a collision with the now-retired Franco Colapinto. The Argentine driver caused the lengthy red flag delay. During the break, the conditions eased up slightly, and it is likely to be intermediates on the restart.
Hulkenberg and his Haas team thought that their car could restart the race. They tended to the car in the pits but, to their dismay, were soon told by the FIA that they weren't allowed to continue.
