When is the next Formula 1 Grand Prix, and where is it?

The next Formula 1 Grand Prix will be the Las Vegas Grand Prix. Because it is taking place in the 'Sin City' it will take place on Saturday, November 23 2024 at 10pm local time. However, elsewhere, it will be taking place on a Sunday like normal, on Sunday, November 24. It marks the start of the triple-header that concluded the 2024 Formula 1 season, occurring two weeks after the Brazilian Grand Prix, a race that saw Max Verstappen all but secure his fourth world drivers' title.
What time does the Las Vegas Grand Prix 2024 start?
As mentioned, the start time for the Las Vegas Grand Prix is extremely bizarre because the race takes place on the iconic Las Vegas Strip, and that road is shut for the Grand Prix during the night and is then reopened for the public once sessions have concluded. Like last year in its inaugural running, the Grand Prix will take place at 22:00 local time on Saturday, November 23, the only Grand Prix on the calendar that does not have its race take place on Sunday. In the UK, the Grand Prix will take place at 06:00 on Sunday, November 24.
It will be a normal Grand Prix weekend, but because of the difference in the schedule, qualifying will day place a day earlier than usual too. Qualifying will take place on Friday night in the Nevada desert, with the session starting at 22:00 local time (06:00 UK time). This will form the grid for the race, with free practices one and two happening on Thursday evening in Las Vegas.
Which races are left on the 2024 Formula 1 calendar?
The Las Vegas Grand Prix is also the start of the triple-header that will bring an end to the 2024 season. To finish the season, F1 had a triple header with the United States, Mexican and Brazilian Grands Prix, followed by two weeks off. Then, to conclude the season, it will be the Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix.
As a result, after the race in the Vegas desert, only two more Grand Prix weekends remain, one being a print race, and one being a traditional Grand Prix weekend. The Qatar Grand Prix comes after the Las Vegas Grand Prix, and that will be the penultimate race of 2024, as well as the final sprint race of the season. And, of course, to round out the season, the season finale will be on December 8 in Abu Dhabi.
