Jak Crawford will be busy in 2025. Aston Martin's American test and reserve driver will also start working in a similar role with Andretti Global in Formula E. The current Formula 2 driver will mainly focus on work in the simulator and will also be present at some races. In addition to all the test work, 19-year-old Crawford has been signed by DAMS to complete another season in Formula 2.

"I’m very excited to be the official Reserve and Development Driver for the Andretti Formula E team in Season 11," Crawford commented. "Andretti is such a household name in motorsports so it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to be part of the team. I’m keen to learn as much about the car as possible from both Jake [Dennis] and Nico [Müller], and to play a role on the development side through simulator work. I’m looking forward to getting started and to hopefully have the chance to get more experience in the car."

Crawford is no stranger to Andretti Global. He was allowed to step in last season during the Berlin E-Prix Rookie Test, where he was able to show his speed right away. At the end of the day, the American found himself second in the standings.

Crawford in Formula 1 later this year

Jak Crawford drove an older Aston Martin F1 car twice this year. This happened at Austria's Red Bull Ring. After the current F1 season, he will take part in the Young Driver Test in Abu Dhabi on behalf of the British racing team.
