After the Sao Paulo Grand Prix, the GPDA (Grand Prix Drivers' Association) have released a statement on their newly created social media profile, calling out FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem. GPDA's statement
The F1 drivers have collectively published a statement today about several issues. The drivers' called out FIA President's Mohammed Ben Sulayem's tone in the media and elsewhere. They also shared their thoughts on the penalties for swearing (after Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc were fined), and also on how penalties are spent by the federation. Mercedes hint at signing driver
After GPblog has previously reported after Valtteri Bottas' departure from Sauber that a his former might await him, Mercedes have released a social media post about the Finnish driver, saying they are missing the driver who competed from them from 2017 until 2021. Was Verstappen lucky in Brazil?
Former drivers do think differently about whether the Dutchman got lucky with the red flag at Interlagos. According to Giedo van der Garde, it was McLaren's choice to pit, therefore, Norris' comments were not fair. However, Johnny Herbert believes saying that Verstappen got lucky does not take away from what he achieved at the Sao Paulo GP last Sunday.
Moreover, Christjan Albers believes Verstappen should have the right to call out and "say FU" the British press, given how they are favouring McLaren and Lando Norris.
