Another FIA chief leaves
The FIA's President was cleared after the investigation was completed, both about overturning a penalty that Fernando Alonso received at the 2023 Saudi Arabian GP, and that the Emirati did not want to certify the results of the first ever GP at the Las Vegas Strip last season.
When Basarri was asked about why he left, he answered to the BBC: "I cannot comment on this."
The British medium learned that the Italian left the federation last week. That makes another important figure leave in a short amount of time, as Niels Wittich also left with immediate effect. Wittich was Formula One's Race Director prior to leaving.
