What time does the Las Vegas Grand Prix start?
Las Vegas is not entirely unknown to Formula 1 as races took place there in 1981 and 1982. However, last season the drivers faced the unknown as they raced on the brand new Las Vegas Strip Circuit for the first time. The race will be completed at night under the stunning lights of the Las Vegas strip. Here are the timings for the weekend.
While the weekend follows a traditional race weekend format, with three practice sessions, qualifying and the race spread out over the three days, the schedule looks very different to a typical weekend.
For fans watching in an American timezone, the weekend will take place between Thursday 21st November and Saturday 23rd November. The timings of the key sessions for American fans are that qualifying will take place on the evening of Friday 22nd Novemeber, and the race will start on Saturday night on the 23rd November.
For the European timezone, Formula 1 will return to Vegas between Friday 22nd November and Sunday 24th November. The sessions will be held on their usual days, with qualifying taking place on Saturday 23rd November, and lights out early on Sunday 24th November. The full schedule for the weekend is outlined below.
