Leclerc puts McLaren and Red Bull on notice with Las Vegas expectation

Charles Leclerc is highly confident about Ferrari's performance at the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix. The man from Monaco believes this will be Ferrari's strongest weekend out of the three events, forming the final triple header of the 2024 Formula 1 season as the Italian team look to make a late surge for the World Championship.
With three Grands Prix and one sprint race remaining, Ferrari are well in the hunt for the Constructors' Championship title. They are 36 points behind leaders McLaren, while Red Bull are also knocking on the door. Red Bull sit third, just 13 points behind the Scuderia.
Can Ferrari win the World Championship?
Ferrari has not won the Constructors' Championship since 2008, when Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen were at the helm. 16 years later, Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are attempting to end the drought. They won two Grands Prix out of the last three events, including double podiums in Austin and Mexico City. Sergio Perez has often lagged far behind Max Verstappen, causing Red Bull to drop away, while Oscar Piastri only scored 25 points in the last three weekends.
When looking ahead to the final three races in Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi, Leclerc revealed he is most confident about the race in the Sin City. "I think Qatar on the paper is probably the most difficult weekend for us in the remaining ones. I think Las Vegas should be a really good one for us and Abu Dhabi, neutral," Leclerc said in Brazil.
"So all in all, again, I come back to the point of before that we really have to focus step by step and it's very fine details and sometimes this can make a big difference," Leclerc added.
Leclerc and Sainz will not be teammates in the 2025 season, as Lewis Hamilton will make the move to the Italian team during the winter break. The seven-time World Champion recently dropped to 7th in the 2024 World Championship after a bad result in Brazil.
