In recent days, hype has been building for the upcoming Las Vegas Grand Prix, with multiple people within the Formula 1 world expressing how they are looking forward to the event. However, Helmut Marko sits on the other side of the fence. Instead, Red Bull Racing's external advisor grumbles that the event is not delivering what was hoped for beforehand.

"This crazy city, the slot machines you have to pass as you walk through the hotel lobby, the racing at night.... Well. The luck last year was that the racing was great, but the event as a whole didn't live up to the high expectations," Marko told OE24.

Marko dislikes season ending with a triple header

Marko experienced in 2023 that locals were not happy with the race in their town. "Because almost everything is cordoned off, you have to make long diversions everywhere. Because of the poor flight connections, we also have to arrive a day early," Marko continued to grumble.

After Las Vegas, the F1 circus flies straight to the Middle East for two more Grands Prix. Marko hates it and says the longest season in F1 ever has taken its toll on him. "You can say that. This triple header at the end is insane," the Austrian concluded.
