Does Verstappen see the Brazil GP as his best drive ever? Max answers!
- Cas van de Kleut
At the Brazilian GP, Max Verstappen proved his talent to everyone by gaining 16 positions and winning the race from P17. What does he think about his drive? He told GPBlog and others in Las Vegas how he feels about the race.
Despite the odds being stacked against him, Verstappen dealt a HUGE blow to Lando Norris's bid for the World Drivers' Championship. While Norris had the pole position and the pace to win, things did not turn out in his favour. The Brazilian GP set the scene for Verstappen to potentially take his fourth world title home this weekend at the Las Vegas GP.
Is the Brazilian GP Verstappen's best race ever?
Verstappen has already driven many iconic races, including the 2024 Brazilian GP. However, he does not view that as his best race ever. Instead, he looks at it through a more objective lens. He admitted, "It is one of the best races. It's always difficult to judge which one is your best, because sometimes your best race doesn't even have to be a win."
Verstappen continued, "It depends on a lot of different factors. That's why I always find it very difficult to rank them all. But I think if you look at how important it was, the result of the race... I think it was definitely one of my most important races of my career, if you want to compete for the championship."
